I've been looking at this concept draft and thinking ; designing a building is a lot like arranging volumes, bulkiness, slimness, textures, colours, densities, lines, directions, light & shadow all of which together determine the 'look and feel'. It's going to build your memories, sentiments, values, etc. Needless to say, your 'mass getting designed' has to evolve while integrating the floor plan, functions and services.

Anyone interested to read up on architectural space and form design fundamentals should look up D. K. Ching's 'Form, Space & Order'. The beauty of this ancient resource is that the theories illustrated can be applied, in fact are applied, knowingly or unknowingly.

I have fond memories of poring over this from my teaching days. [ Of course I don't remember from my student days. ;p ]As they say, teaching is the best way to learn.
