A squeaky clean kitchen

A distinct liking for minimalist, white/light/grey kitchens was a preference high on my client's vision for her kitchen interior works. We also had a common concern of how to visually unite the kitchen wood works with the orange painted work area that would also have some basic cabinetry. The work area and kitchen are seperated by a glass door and window, hence there is visual continuity between both rooms (the orange colour couldn't be altered due to building regulations)
Grey wood works, a pleasant beige countertop, white tiles with grey wavy pattern, and a glint of metal and glass - this was the way forward for the kitchen ultimately! The beige would add warmth to the squeaky clean, colder appeal of grey and silver, while the wavy pattern on the tiles would bring visual motion to the otherwise stoned canvas. The same was a safe combination to continue to the work area since the grey - beige combination works as a friendly contrast for orange. ( The work area has a tall narrow cabinet for brooms and a counter top to tuck the washing machine underneath. ) Scroll down to see photographs and the initial 3D view of the kitchen.
